FYI: What’s on Our Wrists

As we continue to engage with collectors across the country, we thought we’d turn the tables today, and give a little love to the watches we can’t get enough of lately.

It’s been an exciting summer at Bezel, full of outstanding inventory (like this and also this), new content in the Journal, Bezel Watch Club events, and more. Naturally, we’re approaching keeping time along the way just as you’d expect, as we continue to engage with collectors across the country. With this in mind, we thought we’d turn the tables today, and give a little love to the watches we can’t get enough of lately.

Quaid Walker, Chief Executive Officer: Rolex Submariner Date Ref. 116610LV "Hulk"

“I love this thing so much as a daily driver. It has everything I could want from a functionality perspective, given how much time I spend in the water, and the green makes it feel extra special. If I had to give up my entire collection to keep this watch, I would. This will be the one that I reluctantly give my kids one day"

Ryan Chong, Head of Watch Operations: 1965 Tudor Oyster "Big Rose" Ref. 7934

“I love my Tudor Big Rose because of its clean and simple design. From the Big Rose logo to the uniquely shaped hour markers, it’s so pleasing to look at. On top of that, the condition of this exact one is superb and it took me a while to find it. If you think 34 mm cases are too small, send them my way.”

Chase Pion, Chief Financial and Operating Officer: Omega Speedmaster Reduced "Schumacher" Ref. 3810.61.41

“I love this watch not only because of the red racing dial, and the fact that it’s a special edition from the 90s commemorating Michael Schumacher, but also because it measures 39 mm across vs the standard 42 mm Speedmaster, and I like this size a lot better. It's also an automatic, which is interesting because despite being a more complex movement, it’s less desirable than the manual wind Speedmasters, given their Moonwatch status. I was able to get this watch for a great price, and I think it’s a great daily watch that is fun and noticeable!”

Isaac Wingold, Senior Editor: Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 116710 BLNR “Batman”

“You really can’t beat a sports Rolex in stainless steel, and the GMT-Master II is no exception. This “Batman” has been on my wrist for most of the summer, and is a great default go-to for everyday wear. If you need a second time zone indicator, it’s got it. If you don’t need one, well, you got one, and it just so happens to look quite cool in blue.

Paul Shaked, Chief Marketing Officer: 1959 Rolex Day-Date Ref. 6611B

“I was looking for a watch to wear to my wedding in Italy and I almost couldn't believe it when I came across this Italian Day-Date. I wore it for the first time at the wedding and now it feels like an embodiment of that day to me.”

Chris Benedetto, Customer Success: Omega Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer Ref. 210.32.42.20.01.001

“One of the best bangs for your buck in the modern watch market.”
